Private Label ALL-IN: Done-For-You Pain Relief Balm and Cream Under Your Brand

Send us your logo and we do everything else: label design, printing, filling, lot coding, Drug Facts review and shipping. How a done-for-you private label pain relief balm works, from 24 units.

By Cole Stegman, founder · · 6 min read

Most people who want their own pain relief balm do not want to become a manufacturer. They want a jar with their name on it that works, a label that will not get them in trouble, and a box on their doorstep. Everything in between (dielines, printers, label stock, filling, lot codes, the Drug Facts panel) is a part-time job nobody asked for.

That is why we built Private Label ALL-IN. You send us your logo. We do everything else.

I am Cole Stegman, the founder of Rematch. I have made and refined this camphor and menthol formula for 12 years, and we hand pour it in small batches in Scottsdale, Arizona. ALL-IN is the same product, the same batches and the same compliance work, with your brand on the front.

What "done for you" actually covers

A done-for-you private label program should mean you make two decisions: the logo and the proof. Here is what ALL-IN covers.

Label design in your brand look

We design the front panel and the Drug Facts back panel from your logo, colors and any brand references you send. Two rounds of revisions are included, so you can push on the details until it feels like yours.

Label printing

We print the wrap label and the lid label on stock sized to the jar or tube. No sourcing printers, no minimum print runs from a third party, no guessing whether a label will curl on glass.

Filling, lidding, labeling and lot coding

The balm is poured warm into the jar, lidded, labeled and lot coded in our facility. Every unit is traceable to the batch it came from, the same as every jar of Rematch.

Drug Facts compliance review

Camphor and menthol balms are over-the-counter drugs under the FDA external analgesic monograph. We review the Drug Facts panel and the front-panel claims on every label before anything prints, using the same rules we follow for our own brand.

Packed and shipped to your door

Finished goods arrive case packed and ready to sell, hand out or put on a shelf.

You approve one proof. That is it.

The formats you can choose

Original 2 oz jar

Frosted glass with a charcoal lid. Plant-based camphor 6.5% and menthol 1.75%, made with organic coconut oil, beeswax and shea butter. This is the flagship, and the one most brands start with.

Sensitive 2 oz jar

The same jar with our fragrance-free comfort balm base. It is a cosmetic skin balm, not a topical analgesic, so it is a good fit for spas, studios and anyone who wants a no-scent option in the line.

Travel 1 oz jar

The pocket size of the Original. It is the add-on that turns one product into a line, and the easiest impulse buy at a register.

Cream 4 oz tube

A white flip-cap tube with the Rematch Cream formula: camphor 6.5% and menthol 4%, with no water, no alcohol and no dyes. Private label cream is available on preorder, with first runs following the Rematch Cream launch. If you want a cream in your line, get your label approved now so you are first in the queue.

ALL-IN or a la carte?

We offer two ways to work with us.

ALL-IN is for brands that want a finished product without managing suppliers. It is priced as the case price plus a flat amount per unit, and a one-time label design fee that reorders skip.

A la carte is for brands that already have print-ready labels or a designer. You supply the labels; we fill, label, lot code and ship at case price. You can add only what you need: label design, label printing, shrink bands, or custom cartons.

If you are not sure, pick "Not sure" on the form and we will recommend the one that costs you less for what you need.

Why small batch matters for a private label brand

Large contract manufacturers are built for long runs. Their minimums are set by filling lines that take hours to clean and set up, which is why many ask for 1,000 units or more per SKU before they will quote.

A small batch maker can fill a single case. For a new brand, that changes everything:

  • You can launch with 24 units and learn what sells before you commit to a pallet.
  • You can test two formats side by side, for example the 2 oz Original and the 1 oz Travel, without doubling your risk.
  • Reorders can be small too, so cash is not tied up in inventory sitting in a closet.

A realistic timeline

  • Day 1. You apply on the private label page and choose ALL-IN.
  • Within 1 business day. You get your quote and portal access.
  • Week 1. First label proof arrives. Two revision rounds are included.
  • Week 2. You approve the proof. We complete the Drug Facts review and print.
  • Weeks 3 to 5. Filling, labeling, lot coding and packing. Finished goods ship to you.

Lead time is 3 to 4 weeks from label approval. Cream runs follow the cream launch date.

What to have ready

You need less than you think:

  1. A logo file (vector if you have it, a high resolution PNG if you do not).
  2. Your brand colors, or a few products whose look you like.
  3. The name you want on the jar and the distributor line (your business name and address) for the label.
  4. A rough idea of quantity: one case to test, or several to launch.

That is enough for us to start.

Staying compliant after launch

The label is only half of compliance. The other half is how you talk about the product. For a camphor and menthol topical analgesic, keep your website, social posts and shelf talkers to the monograph language: for the temporary relief of minor aches and pains of muscles and joints associated with simple backache, arthritis, strains, bruises and sprains.

Avoid claims that it treats, cures or heals anything, and avoid promising how long relief lasts. If you are unsure about a line of copy, send it to us before it goes live.

Start with ALL-IN

If you have a customer base and a logo, you are most of the way to your own balm. Start your brand with Private Label ALL-IN and you will hear back within one business day with your quote, portal access and the sample kit details. Pricing is in your quote. MOQ is 24 units.

If you would rather carry the Rematch brand in your club, gym or clinic, the wholesale program starts with one case of 12.
