Adults and children 12 and older: apply to the affected area not more than 3 to 4 times daily. Most people use it before play and again at night. If symptoms last more than 7 days, or clear up and come back, stop and ask a doctor.

On the skin over a sore muscle or joint: knees, hands and fingers, elbows, shoulders, lower back, calves, feet. A pea-sized amount covers a knee. Rub in until it disappears, then wash your hands. Avoid eyes, mouth, broken or irritated skin, and do not cover with a tight bandage or heating pad.

Rematch Balm (and the 1 oz Travel) is the camphor and menthol balm for minor aches and pains. Rematch Sensitive is a different product: a fragrance-free comfort balm for dry, overworked hands and skin, made with six plant-based ingredients and no essential oils. Same jar, same base, different job.

Both carry camphor 6.5%. The Cream has more menthol, 4% against the Balm's 1.75%, so the cool comes on stronger. The Balm is a firm beeswax balm in a glass jar that melts on contact. The Cream is softer, rubs in like a cream, and comes in a 4 oz tube. Neither has water or alcohol.

A strip about the length of a fingertip covers a knee or a shoulder. Rub it in until it disappears and wash your hands. Adults and children 2 and older: not more than 3 to 4 times daily.

Use one or the other on a given spot, not both at once. They share the same actives, so layering only adds more of the same. Most people keep the tube at home or in the gym bag and a jar in the paddle bag. Count every application toward the 3 to 4 times a day limit.

Rematch Balm opens with peppermint and camphor. The scent is noticeable for a few minutes and then fades. It will not clear a room. Rematch Sensitive has no added fragrance at all.

The base is coconut oil, beeswax, and shea butter, so it absorbs rather than sitting on the skin. Give it a minute before you dress or pick up a paddle. Applied heavily, beeswax balms can leave a faint mark on light fabric; it comes out in a normal wash.

Beeswax gives the balm a higher melting point than a gel or lotion, but a closed car in July will soften it. Keep the lid on, let it cool at room temperature, and it firms back up. Potency and texture are unaffected. If it has fully liquefied, let it set upright so the surface levels.

Children 12 and older can use it as directed. Children 2 to 12: ask a doctor before use. Children under 2: do not use. Keep the jar out of reach of children.
